Before the days of MTV and VH1, the teenagers/young adults of the mid and late 1970's looked forward to weekend late-night programming on NBC. A popular show of it's time was THE MIDNIGHT SPECIAL, which featured popular rock groups of the era. This is a clip from the group Exile, singing a great make-out song of the day, "Kiss you all over" on the Midnight Special, circa 1978.

Exile- "I want to kiss you all over

Yes I agree Princess somewhat...my son and I have the same topic going on,and my responce while I think every generation has their music, and thats fine...what we have had in this country the past 20 years is not what I think anyone growing up in the 50,60 70,s would call music....today and the past 20 years we have had Foul Lyrics...Lyrics about killing police....about beating women...calling women whores and much worse.... and it's all across the board...and Rap to my humble opinion surely can't be called music. It' and other things like it are nothing more then noise at best. Again in my humble opinion music...is something that has a msg about love, kindness, caring and many other aspects of being together.
Thank you and now I'll step off my soap box....lol    Have a wonderful day.

you can jump on your soap box any time you like.

I am not a big fan of rap however Dido has some great rap songs and the lyrics are very good.

I like a lot of diverse stuff myself, from Grung to Clasical I sing all the time you know if I am sad as I am not singing.
