Location Info:  Fiji is located in the Oceania, island group in the South Pacific Ocean, about two-thirds of the way from Hawaii to New Zealand

Fiji is a tropical paradise, with clear blue waters for snorkeling among-st one of the most extensive barrier reefs in the world, palm tree-fringed beaches and a tropical marine climate of only slight seasonal temperature variation. This island group in the South Pacific Ocean, about two-thirds of the way from Hawaii to New Zealand, became independent in 1970, after nearly a century as a British colony. The culture is a mixture of Melanesian, Polynesian, Micronesian, Indian, Chinese and European influences. "BULA" is a word you'll hear often, used as a greeting and a farewell by the natives of the islands.

The main cities are Suva and Nadi, while there are countless small, native villages on most of the islands. Blessed with beautiful reefs and lagoons, activities such as swimming, snorkelling and diving are popular.

Coming in the new year, Survivor turns the tables on two tribes. As one lives the life of luxury, while the other is left with virtually nothing. For the first time there will be 19 new survivors. This diverse cast ranging from a Harvard educated lawyer to a once homeless street performer will be forced to battle each other more fiercely than ever before. Crawling with thousands of deadly sea snakes Exile Island will be more treacherous than ever. This time 2 hidden immunity idols and a twist will drastically complicate the game. And one of the most controversial decisions ever made by a Survivor will have America talking. Who will Outwit, Outplay and Outlast all the others on Survivor Fiji.

I'm really looking forward to the Survivor Figi. I've heard of the Island chain for years but never even saw anything on TV that I know of. It also looks dangerous with those poisonous snakes. I'm not too sure people will be pleased to have to spend much time there. Not that the last exile island was any picnic. Figi should be good. I saw their promo last night and it was quite a teaser.

They must have some other twists that we don't know about too. With 19 people starting it should take more time to vote them off. I guess we'll see more shows with double eliminations this time to keep it at 40 days.

The 14th season, premiering in 2007, takes place in Fiji and also has twists.  “We came up with a couple of small ones for Fiji that had a big impact,” Probst said.  “We have two immunity idols.  It’s kind of funny to talk about all this stuff.  We changed it by adding another immunity idol and we changed the location of them.  And nobody knew where they were and it became a very different game.”

The idols apparently play an important role once again.  “Idols get played next season,” he said.  “People don’t hold onto them like Yul did.  That makes for great drama because tribal council was suddenly a wild card.  Every night you’re thinking does somebody have it, are they gonna play it?”

This isn’t the only major thing Fiji’s season will deliver.  “One of the biggest decisions that’s ever had to be made on our show gets made late into the season – and it’s controversial,” he said.  “And it will definitely have ‘Survivor’ fans on one side of the fence or the other.  There will be no neutral on it.  You will think this decision was the right one or the wrong one.”

Sylvia got the boot last night. Too bad she did not find the idol. She had to dig right in front of everybody at the front of the cave. You can bet they all will be doing that. Perhaps she just did not go deep enough.

I would expect that the other camp would have to use different clues. They know who is going to exile island so it would not be a problem to radio ahead and tell somebody which set of clues to put on the exile island. I sure would not be comfortable with all the poisonous sea snakes on exile island.

They said that somebody finds the idol tonight and puts a conterfit idol back in the same place where they found the real one. What a rotten thing to do to somebody else. The second descoverer will get the surprise of their life if they try to play the counterfit in the game, thinking it's the real thing.

Tonight's Survivor, the teams had to do a native dance as a group. They were trained for an entire afternoon. The Moto tribe did a better job and won a typical Figian feast cooked by the natives. It was lobster, chicken and pork, all steamed native style. Then they enjoyed the company of the native tribe in their camp. Lisi was sent once again to exile island by herself by the Moto tribe. She did not know that her two cohorts in the Ravu tribe had found the idol but did not tell her or anyone else. In the final challenge, the two teams had to compete using native weapons (Blowdarts, Spears and Bow&Arrow) at targets. Again Moto won the challenge thanks to primarly Yau Man who got closer to the bullseye than the others. After that Lisi told her tribe she wanted to quit. That decision cost her and she was voted out.

JP: And I think we actually had them off balance and they weren't exactly sure what was going to happen initially.

JP: Sooner or later they begin to figure it out. What they didn't anticipate...is what kind of beach they'd be going back to...

JP:  ... and that shocked them and irritated a lot of them.

JP: It's always a fine line when we push it so far that we actually make them mad. We made 'em mad.

JP: They get over it. They'll be just fine. The other interesting thing going on involves the Hidden Immunity Idol. And that has played out and will continue to play out more than it's ever played out on any other season.

If that is the case (Living on Exile Island) what a miserable place to be with all the poisonous snakes and all. They will have no tools or any way to make fire which means no water all over again. That is going to make some people want to quit the game.

Well, things really got twisted around tonight. The exile island thing was only to keep them busy while the crew stripped the plush Moto camp. Then the new Bula-Bula tribe splits for competition and then Michelle gets the axe. This game is getting wild!
